Privacy Notice

DLV Projects Ltd ("we", "us") is the data controller for the personal data collected through Roof Takeoff. This notice explains what we collect, why, and who we share it with.

1. What we collect

• Account data: name, email address, company name, trade, region and onboarding answers — to create and manage your account.
• Job data: project addresses, client names, roof plans, photos, measurements, takeoffs and quotes — to provide the takeoff service.
• Usage data: feature usage, error logs and support messages — to operate, secure and improve the service.
• Device/connection data: IP address, browser type and device identifiers — for security, fraud prevention and diagnostics.

2. How we use it

• Provide, operate and support the RoofShout service.
• Process subscriptions, trials and billing.
• Keep the service secure and prevent fraud.
• Improve features and fix issues.
• Improve the plan reader: the kind of reading mistake you correct is shared as a short fixed code, never your plans, addresses, measurements or prices. Your company can turn this off at any time.
• Communicate with you about your account, support requests and product updates.

3. Legal basis

We process personal data to perform our contract with you, for our legitimate interests in operating a secure and reliable service, to comply with legal obligations, and with your consent where required (for example, optional marketing communications).

4. Who we share data with

• Paddle: our Merchant of Record for subscription management, payments, tax compliance and invoicing.
• Service providers: hosting, analytics, error reporting and support tooling.
• Professional advisers: legal and accounting advisers when necessary.
• Authorities: when required by law or to protect our rights.

5. Data retention

We keep your account and job data for as long as your account is active, plus a reasonable period afterward to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce agreements. When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it.

6. Your rights

You can access, correct or delete your personal data, object to processing, and withdraw consent where it applies. Contact us at druw@dlvprojects.co.nz to make a request, or ask to delete your account from Help & support in the app. We will respond within one month.

7. Security

We use encryption in transit and at rest, access controls and regular security practices to protect your data.

8. Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and operate the service. We may use analytics cookies to understand how the app is used. You can manage cookie preferences through your browser settings.

9. International transfers

RoofShout is operated from New Zealand. Some service providers may process data outside New Zealand. We use appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses or adequacy decisions where required.

10. Changes to this notice

We may update this notice from time to time. The latest version will always be available at this page with the updated date.
