Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 3/11/2026
These Terms & Conditions govern your use of the RoofShout web application and services. By signing up, accessing or using the service, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
1. Seller
You are contracting with DLV Projects Ltd ("us", "we", "our") for access to the RoofShout software. Our contact email is druw@dlvprojects.co.nz.
2. Product description
RoofShout is a software tool that helps roofing contractors produce roof takeoffs from sketches, photos, PDFs and architectural plans. The app uses AI to produce a first-pass takeoff which the roofer must review and confirm. Outputs are estimates and must be verified on site before ordering materials or quoting a client.
3. Acceptance of terms
By creating an account, starting a trial or paying for a subscription, you confirm that you have authority to enter into this agreement (for a business, that you can bind the organisation) and that you are at least 18 years old.
4. Account responsibilities
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
5. Acceptable use
You must not:
- use the service for any unlawful purpose;
- upload content you do not have rights to, or that infringes someone else's intellectual property;
- attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, probe or interfere with the service;
- distribute malware, launch attacks, or otherwise compromise security;
- resell, redistribute or circumvent plan limits;
- use the service to generate illegal, harmful, hateful or misleading content.
6. AI-generated outputs
RoofShout uses AI to interpret roof plans and produce measurements, counts and material lists. AI outputs may be inaccurate and are not a substitute for professional judgement. You are responsible for reviewing outputs, verifying dimensions on site, and ensuring the final takeoff is suitable for the job. We do not provide regulated professional advice.
You retain ownership of the plans, photos and data you upload. You grant us a limited licence to host and process that content solely to provide the service.
To make the plan reader more reliable for everyone, when you correct a reading we record the kind of mistake it made as a short fixed code (for example “a line read as a ridge was really a hip”) and share it, unidentified, across RoofShout. These codes never include your plans, photos, addresses, client details, measurements, prices or quoting methods. A code is only used once three or more companies have made the same correction. Your company owner or an admin can turn this off under Pricing & company rates → Plan reader, which also removes everything your company has shared.
7. Intellectual property
We own all rights in the RoofShout software, branding, documentation and content we create. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service during your subscription term, within the limits of your chosen plan.
8. Payments, subscriptions and cancellations
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Payment, billing, tax, cancellation and refund mechanics are governed by Paddle's Buyer Terms.
Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time through the billing portal in your dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period.
9. Service level
We aim to keep the service available and accurate, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free performance. Maintenance, outages or bugs may occur.
10. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate your access for material breach of these terms, non-payment, fraud or security risk, or repeated or serious policy violations.
11. Warranties and liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties. Our aggregate liability is limited to the fees you paid in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect, consequential or special damages such as lost profits, lost data or lost goodwill, except where liability cannot be excluded by law (e.g. fraud, death or personal injury).
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand.
